We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform standardized microscopic, chemical, and/or bacteriological testing in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CUA, and Joint Commission regulations and guidelines.
- Use test results to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
- Work independently with minimal supervision to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
- Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
- Eligibility to take the ASCP Board of Review exam for Medical Laboratory Technician.
- Obtain MLT (ASCPM) or AMT Certification within 6 months of hire.
