Housing Development Corporation MidAtlantic (HDC) is excited to announce an opportunity for a Full-Time Traveling Maintenance Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the physical condition of the community in accordance with organizational operating and safety standards. Ensure all service requests and repairs are executed accurately and promptly.
  • Oversee the turn-key operation and ensure vacant units are inspected and prepared efficiently.
  • Assist in coordinating and supervising community upgrades performed by maintenance staff and external contractors.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and tools necessary for service provision and property maintenance. Procure supplies as needed, adhering to standard purchasing procedures.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance program to reduce emergency repairs and service requests.
  • Engage in company-sponsored training programs and ensure team members participate in required training sessions.
  • Mentor Maintenance Technicians at other properties within the region.
  • Prepare sites for inspections and provide progress reports to facilities while managing project assignments.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license.
  • A technical or associate degree with three to five years of experience in related fields (including Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Electrical) is preferred.
  • Must be available for on-call rotation as necessary.
  • Successful completion of drug screening and criminal background checks is mandatory.

Work Environment:

The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, potentially involving hazardous conditions, and requires 100% travel, which may include overnight stays for extended periods.
