Proven track record in driving project advancements, resolving challenges, and guiding less experienced team members; possesses in-depth knowledge and practical expertise in relevant domains.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in project management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in safety certification processes.
  • 2 years of experience with consumer electronics.
  • 2 years of compliance experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience managing projects across various functions or teams.
  • Familiarity with international certification standards for IT equipment (e.g., CE marking, CB scheme, GS, RCM, BIS, PSE, BSMI).
  • Experience in quality management systems for safety testing labs compliant with ISO 17025.
  • Knowledge in product safety analysis, investigation, and recall processes.
  • Understanding of safety hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Capability to conduct safety testing.
Position Overview

As a Technical Program Manager, you will leverage your technical skills to oversee intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will define requirements, assess risks, manage timelines, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

Your role will involve ensuring that Google consumer hardware products adhere to all relevant safety standards, implement industry best practices, and are positioned for market success. You will work closely with various teams, including Product Counsels, Design Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Manufacturing Partners, and Supply Chain Operations, to guarantee full compliance of Google consumer hardware products. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of Google's best practices and processes for certifying new products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead safety and certification initiatives across development teams, testing laboratories, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Address compliance challenges by coordinating solutions with internal and external engineering teams and partners.
  • Establish and oversee hardware certification testing requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of testing reports and compliance with mandatory standards.
  • Effectively communicate certification status and issues to all relevant teams in a clear and timely manner.
  • Prepare hardware samples for submission to testing laboratories for safety certification evaluations.
