Position Overview

Organization: Sutter Health

Role Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for executing both standard and advanced radiological procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging for healthcare professionals involved in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires independent operation, applying sound judgment and refined clinical skills to perform safe and accurate imaging procedures, delivering timely results.

The technologist builds trust and rapport with patients and their families through effective communication and thorough patient assessments. Compliance with all relevant regulations and policies is essential to maintain patient privacy and safety while providing exceptional care.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 7 am and 9 pm, based on clinic requirements. Flexibility to rotate among various Sutter Health locations is necessary.

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Certifications Required:

  • CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire.
  • RHF - Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire if required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic radiology techniques, procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic examinations with a foundational knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and various healthcare information systems.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving standard operational issues using established protocols.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting health information.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and healthcare providers.

Position Details:

This is a non-exempt position with a regular status, requiring rotating weekend availability. Benefits are included, and the role is part of a supportive work environment that values professional development.

Compensation:
