Role Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for proficiently executing both standard and advanced radiological procedures to generate high-quality images for medical evaluation. This role requires independent operation, applying sound judgment and honed clinical expertise to perform safe and accurate imaging tasks efficiently. Building trust and rapport with patients and their families is essential, facilitated through thorough assessments, vigilant monitoring, and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and specialized radiology procedures in compliance with established protocols.
  • Maintain adherence to all relevant regulations and policies to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and departmental objectives.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members as needed.

Work Schedule:

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with shifts spanning from 7 am to 9 pm based on clinic requirements. Flexibility to rotate among various Sutter Health locations is necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

Licensure & Certification:

  • CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire.
  • RHF - Radiology Fluoroscopy certification within 180 days of hire if required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures.
  • Ability to perform routine imaging examinations with a solid grasp of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Effective communication skills to convey sensitive information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to healthcare, including electronic health records and imaging systems.

This role is classified as non-exempt, with rotating weekend responsibilities. Sutter Health is committed to equal opportunity employment.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $60.81 to $76.00 per hour, subject to adjustments based on various factors including experience and location.
