Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our team at Sprezzatura Management Consulting, LLC. As a key member of our Program Project Management Support Services (PPMSS), you will play a critical role in overseeing large-scale, complex projects that align with the Department of Veterans Affairs' strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Oversight: Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure successful project execution, meeting scope, budget, and time requirements.
  2. Project Definition: Facilitate the development of project scope, goals, and deliverables in partnership with senior stakeholders and team members.
  3. Project Planning: Create comprehensive project plans and associated communications documents.
  4. Communication: Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  5. Resource Allocation: Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, develop budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as necessary.
  6. Project Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  7. Dependency Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  8. Change Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  9. Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior project management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience working with Government Clients, preferred experience with Veteran's Affairs.
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead large teams effectively.
  • Ability to work on complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams and deliver successful outcomes.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, with the majority of time spent remotely. Onsite support in Washington, DC may be required as needed by the customer.
