Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a Front Desk Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing front desk operations, and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient service, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and responding to patient inquiries.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, handling patient registration, and maintaining accurate records.
- Support our healthcare team by providing administrative assistance, such as preparing patient charts, scanning documents, and maintaining accurate records.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits and procedures.
- Collect all applicable co-payments, coinsurance, deductibles, or outstanding balances from patients and post all payments collected.
- Ensure time-of-service batches are balanced and closed daily.
- Research and assist patients with questions regarding balances, including collecting applicable payments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the lobby/reception area, including stocking business cards.
- Provide support for physicians and/or care center providers to ensure they are kept on schedule and advised of appointment changes.
- Perform various duties, including answering incoming calls, routing them to appropriate personnel, taking complete messages, and sending tasks as necessary.
- Schedule, confirm, and cancel office appointments.
- Pick up voicemail messages.
- Reschedule no-show appointments and maintain coverage to reflect correct information for the day.
- Support the care center in areas, including assisting with record requests, managing the fax inbox, and scanning records.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 2+ years of experience in a medical practice or similar setting.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired.
