Front Desk Supervisor

The Front Desk Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences at The Seagate. This position requires a collaborative approach with front office staff to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction, service quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the selection and onboarding of front office personnel.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training and cross-training programs to enhance staff skills and retention.
  • Supervise workload distribution during shifts to optimize efficiency.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of front office employee performance.
  • Foster effective interdepartmental communication and relationships.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in PBX telephone systems and Key systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of guest reservations, folios, and billing processes.
  • Maintain and communicate accurate room status information.
  • Resolve guest issues promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Manage group reservations and requirements.
  • Review and complete credit limit reports.
  • Adhere to front office budget guidelines.
  • Facilitate smooth shift transitions by sharing pertinent information with incoming managers.
  • Manage cashier operations, verifying banks and deposits at shift ends.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling, check-cashing, and credit policies.
  • Enforce proper attire and uniform policies for front office staff.
  • Initiate necessary disciplinary actions as per policy.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills in English, displaying clarity, sincerity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to interpret and execute requests accurately and promptly.
  • Friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple requests with composure, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to The Seagate Hotel & Spa policies.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment in decision-making.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a desk for up to 8-10 hours.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Capability to stand, sit, walk for prolonged periods, and lift, carry, or push objects weighing 40 pounds or more.
