Position Summary

Verdantas is seeking a skilled Construction Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in the Dover, DE office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality control reviews and testing for construction initiatives.
  • Oversee activities and provide guidance on various construction projects within geotechnical engineering and construction domains.
  • Perform field observations, testing, and sampling of soils, concrete, masonry, and steel construction.
  • Review, comprehend, and interpret project plans, specifications, shop drawings, product data, and RFIs.
  • Complete field documentation promptly, including job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, and monitoring forms.
  • Maintain records and ensure the upkeep of testing equipment.
  • Additional tasks may involve laboratory testing of soils and concrete.
  • Operate and maintain company vehicles.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work primarily in outdoor settings with occasional office work.
  • Must be capable of regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs., sometimes over considerable distances.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in collecting soil, concrete, groundwater, or other construction material samples.
  • Troxler Nuclear Density Gauge Certification.
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Certification.
  • ICC Special Inspector Certification (concrete, masonry, and steel).
  • State of NJ Department of Community Affairs Uniform Construction Code Certification (DCA).
  • NICET (Soils, Asphalt, or Concrete).
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector.
  • OSHA 40-Hour Certification.
