We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer Technician to join our team at Becker Morgan. As a key member of our infrastructure project team, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and construction of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support
- Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software.
- Review and update project drawings based on engineer and architect feedback.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
- Field Work
- Perform site visits and inspections to gather data, take measurements, and ensure that construction activities comply with design specifications.
- Document site conditions and communicate findings to the project team.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project records as required.
- Assist in maintaining project files, including drawing logs, specifications, and as-built documents.
- Support the development of project schedules and monitor progress.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure that all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies and standards.
- Promote and adhere to safety practices in all phases of work.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Valid Driver's license
- Clean Background check
- Ability to communicate clearly via phone, virtual meetings, and in person.
- Knowledge of site planning, storm and wastewater management, road design, and traffic studies
- Strong personal organizational and time management skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and work with a group and on an individual basis
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, committed to professional development/continuing education
- Education (required minimum education level): High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree in CAD Design, Civil Engineering or another related field is preferred.
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)
