Position Overview:

The selected candidate will deliver essential nursing services, which include direct patient care, conducting assessments, and coordinating healthcare services for residents. Regular interaction with patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and other departments is a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • Dispense, administer, and record medications accurately.
  • Provide prescribed injections and inoculations.
  • Observe and report changes in patient behavior and condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records on patient charts.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following requirements based on the level of the Licensed Practical Nurse position:

  1. Licensed Practical Nurse I: Must possess a Delaware Practical Nurse license, temporary license, or multi-state compact license.
  2. Licensed Practical Nurse II: Must possess a Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi-state compact license, along with at least six months of practical nursing experience.
  3. Licensed Practical Nurse III: Must possess a Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi-state compact license, with a minimum of eighteen months of practical nursing experience.

All candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check as part of the hiring process. The State of Delaware participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
