Position Overview:
As a Practical Nurse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional nursing care and health services aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and significant health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform both administrative and skilled nursing tasks as required during each shift.
  • Collaborate effectively with program staff to prioritize the well-being of those in our care.
  • Ensure that individuals achieve and sustain their highest possible health status.
  • Execute physician's directives, medication administration records (MAR), and personalized support plans as instructed.
  • Carry out nursing activities in each assigned residence.
  • Oversee the safety and upkeep of the home by identifying and addressing communicable diseases, infections, or other medical issues; conduct vital signs checks, body assessments, and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Assist direct care staff as needed and contribute to maintaining a clean living environment.
  • Record all care activities daily using the designated software systems.
  • Communicate precise information to colleagues and external parties in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor, attitude, and interpersonal skills as required by the role and the organization.
  • Adhere to various federal and state regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
