Position Overview:

The selected candidate will be responsible for administering medications, executing prescribed treatments, and prioritizing resident care based on nursing assessments. The role involves resolving clinical issues, utilizing the chain of command when necessary, and overseeing the performance of subordinate staff. Collaboration with the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioners, and various specialized teams is essential. The incumbent may also assume charge nurse responsibilities in the absence of the unit manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess direct nursing care.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized nursing care plans.
  • Provide health education and support to individuals and families.
  • Maintain effective collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reports.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and provide recommendations.

Qualifications:

For Registered Nurse I:

  • Must possess a valid Delaware Registered Nurse license or equivalent.

For Registered Nurse II:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.
  • Must hold a Delaware Registered Nurse license or equivalent.

For Registered Nurse III:

  • At least two years of nursing experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with one year of experience is required.
  • Must possess a Delaware Registered Nurse license or equivalent.

Additional Information:

All candidates must undergo pre-employment drug testing and a satisfactory criminal background check. This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
