About the Role

Currie & Brown is seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to support Data Center projects in the Baltimore area. The successful candidate will collaborate with project leaders to deliver high-quality service, achieve successful outcomes for clients, and enhance our culture of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate budgets and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct change management, estimate impacts of changes, and manage contingency drawdown.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports and budget reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain risk registers and track impacts.
  • Forecast and monitor cash flow.
  • Review and recommend payments to contractors and consultants.
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and cost breakdowns.
  • Conduct cost estimating through various design stages using past experience, historical data, and parametric ratios.
  • Support client account management and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain project controls tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related technical field.
  • A minimum of eight years' experience in cost engineering, management, and/or estimating.
  • Quantity surveying background is preferred.
  • Experience working on large, complex capital projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Ability to self-manage with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to lead, mentor, and develop a successful team.
