Role Overview - What We Expect From You
We are seeking experienced Cost Management Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist project leaders by offering construction insights across our core services, which encompass estimation, procurement, cost planning, and more. This role demands a commitment to delivering exceptional service, achieving favorable outcomes for our clients, and fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing across projects.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting in new projects related to cost management and project oversight
- Offering informed advice on intricate issues, knowing when to escalate to higher management
- Supporting RFP submissions, forecasting necessary resources for proposals, preparing documentation, and leading negotiations
- Managing client accounts, overseeing monthly invoicing, purchase order processing, and reviewing contract terms
- Preparing project cost estimates from initial concepts through various design phases using experience, historical data, and parametric ratios
- Engaging in industry benchmarking of project metrics
- Providing cost forecasting and control, managing contingencies, and reporting to stakeholders
- Reviewing change orders and claims, including assessing entitlements per contractual agreements
- Delivering precise cost advice and reporting to clients
- Ensuring effective communication for successful project completion; collaborating with other managers for efficient financial oversight
- Producing all work outputs accurately and promptly
- Representing the company professionally; engaging with clients to build strong working relationships
- BSc in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field
- Preferred membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or equivalent
- A minimum of eight years of technical experience in delivering large-scale complex projects
- Extensive knowledge of MEP systems
- Experience in both pre- and post-contract phases
- Proficiency in industry-standard software for planning, scheduling, and cost management
- Strong technical writing, client-facing, and communication abilities
- Highly organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, and commercially savvy
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude, approachable demeanor, and flexibility
