Electrical Assembly Technician

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician for the 1st Shift. The hourly compensation for this role is $17.00.
Key Responsibilities:
The Electrical Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, fitting, and modification tasks associated with the production of low, medium, and high voltage assemblies, both indoor and outdoor. This includes working on breaker compartments, auxiliary components, renewal parts, customer service orders, power modules, and related sub-assemblies.
Essential duties include:
- Identifying and gathering necessary materials for assembly kits and preparing them for shipment.
- Collaborating closely with team members, Job Setter, and Group Leader to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilizing hand and air tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring devices to assemble, adjust, or repair both repetitive and non-repetitive assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Completing ISO checklists, quality assurance forms, customer feedback documents, and production lists as required by supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering.
- Mounting and installing electrical components and performing wiring operations as needed.
- Receiving, labeling, packing, and preparing all materials and assemblies for shipment.
- Maintaining minimum Kanban inventory levels and reporting any shortages to the relevant operators.
- Using calibrated equipment for tasks such as wire crimping and torqueing connections.
- Inspecting all assemblies for any loose or missing hardware and ensuring cleanliness.
- Responding to change notices and customer requests for adjustments or development needs.
- Assisting engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development projects.
- Following manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, and instructions from supervision while adhering to established procedures.
- Making necessary adjustments and modifications to assemblies to ensure proper functionality.
- Packaging and preparing finished products for shipping according to specified instructions.
- Utilizing material handling equipment to transport products and supplies.
- Observing all safety and hygiene protocols as directed and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Complying with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
