Manufacturing and Assembly Technician

The Manufacturing and Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in the efficient execution of daily production tasks and the fulfillment of orders for all Finished Good products. This position collaborates with purchasing, planning, and quality assurance teams to guarantee a seamless flow of materials from the point of receipt to the shipment of products to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload, inspect, and acknowledge receipt of materials from various suppliers.
- Manage material transactions in the ERP system in accordance with receiving protocols, directing items to the warehouse or QA area for further evaluation.
- Adhere to established procedures, maintain cleanliness, and comply with safety regulations.
- Utilize appropriate Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to effectively produce the required products.
- Execute necessary pre-assembly tasks, such as preparation of inserts or product labeling, as well as post-assembly tasks, including final assembly or packaging.
- Employ a tabletop pump and scale to accurately fill cartridges with oil, following defined procedures.
- Document necessary information on work orders, confirming raw materials used.
- Prevent cross-contamination of finished goods by keeping a tidy and organized workspace.
- Report to management on progress and any issues encountered during production runs that may hinder daily production targets.
- Ensure accuracy of finished goods inventory, conduct periodic physical counts, and manage shipping supplies.
- Guarantee accuracy of shipments and timely delivery of orders to clients.
- Propose enhancements for productivity and assist in implementing necessary changes to optimize processes.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Effective oral communication skills.
- Knowledge and ability to operate motorized pallet lifts and pallet jacks for inventory movement.
- Willingness to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, to meet urgent production needs.
- A collaborative team player willing to assist in various roles as needed.
- Punctual with a strong attendance record.
- Respectful of individuals, standards, and factual information.

In performing the duties of this role, the employee frequently engages in sitting, using hands for operating a computer and calculator, and communicating verbally. The employee is also required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and perform actions such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The role necessitates the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
