Job Summary:

ABM Industries is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at Central Piedmont Community College. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical panels
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair work on a variety of electrical systems and equipment
  • Use various electrical testing meters and equipment to diagnose and repair electrical issues
  • Install and maintain variable frequency drives, lighting and ballast, lighting control panels, starters/contactors, and other electrical equipment
  • Bend and install conduit, add circuits, conduit, and run wire as needed
  • Perform small electrical renovations and repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical panels, transformers, and equipment
  • Read wiring schematics and prints to ensure accurate installation and repair work

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of field electrical experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass background check
  • Ability to work on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies and work overtime as needed
