Key Responsibilities:- As an Electrical Lighting Technician, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of lighting systems across various grocery store locations. Your role will involve troubleshooting and rectifying issues with lighting components and electrical systems, adhering to established SOPs, internal guidelines, manufacturer specifications, and safety protocols.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on lighting equipment, which includes fixtures in coolers, display cases, ceilings, and occasionally outdoor lighting, utilizing a range of hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
- Manage inventory levels of equipment, parts, and supplies by regularly assessing stock.
- Compile maintenance reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Document daily and weekly maintenance activities in a maintenance log.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and other relevant compliance standards.
- Diagnose issues by observing mechanical systems in operation.
- Perform repairs on electrical outlets, wiring, and fixtures, primarily working with voltages ranging from 120v to 277v, and occasionally up to 480v.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following established procedures and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing and maintaining electrical machinery is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in facility repair and maintenance is required.
- Experience with high voltage testing equipment for a minimum of 2 years is necessary; 5 years is preferred.
- Strong mechanical calibration skills.
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Background in electrical maintenance is crucial.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
