Ideal Candidate Profile:

Oversee the recruitment operations for sponsors and donors of mobile allogeneic blood products, ensuring the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual collection targets in the most efficient and cost-effective manner within the designated region.

Formulate and execute strategies for recruitment initiatives, implement staffing and deployment policies, adhere to regional, divisional, and national operating procedures, act as a liaison with chapter executive staff and Board volunteers, address efficiency challenges, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in establishing and supporting the strategic direction for recruitment efforts within the assigned region to meet collection goals and organizational objectives.

Ensure the development and maintenance of a collection calendar that aligns with regional needs and budgeted collection targets.
Supervise the execution of recruitment plans and programs among assigned personnel to achieve collection objectives.

Collaborate with departmental and regional leadership to devise an overarching recruitment strategy for the assigned area, ensuring effective donor group and volunteer development, along with chapter support, incorporating input from recruitment staff, participating chapters, and Board and Committee members.

Guarantee the implementation of regional, divisional, and national recruitment programs tailored to specific needs (e.g., blood type distribution, holidays, etc.) to ensure the availability of blood products when and where they are necessary.

Ensure timely execution of regional, divisional, and national directives and adherence to standard operating procedures, including appropriate staff training, to comply with national, federal, or other regulatory requirements.

Monitor, assess, and adjust donor scheduling, donor flow, and customer service issues in collections operations in collaboration with the Collections District Manager to enhance the donor experience and contribute to the achievement of organizational goals.

Conduct periodic operational audits in the assigned area to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current methods, aiming to improve productivity in support of organizational objectives.

Assist regional management with budget planning and monitoring to ensure sufficient and efficient utilization of financial resources to achieve stated collection goals.

Develop and mentor assigned staff in accordance with human resources policies, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and hiring and termination decisions, to enhance operational success and minimize turnover.


Qualifications for Success:
A bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
A minimum of five years of related experience, including three years in a management role, is required.

Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is essential.

Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively, assimilate information rapidly, analyze challenges, and implement suitable solutions are necessary.

Must possess the ability to work independently while fostering a cohesive team among subordinates.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including training, presentation, and negotiation abilities, are required.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Travel to various sites throughout the organization may be required.
