Position Overview:

The Regional Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Credit Department's indirect lending operations for both franchised and independent automobile dealerships. This role involves hiring, training, and mentoring team members to ensure effective underwriting practices while cultivating new and maintaining existing client relationships. The Regional Credit Manager will also keep Sales Representatives, Loan Processing, and other management teams informed about market conditions, insights, and dealership concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing training and coaching to the team to enhance their effectiveness as loan underwriters through constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management teams to gather current data and analyze market and industry trends to mitigate lending risks.
  • Deliver exceptional service and manage workflow efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Stay informed about local economic conditions and market risks to adjust lending strategies accordingly.
  • Identify and resolve issues by skillfully analyzing information to develop alternative solutions promptly.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive financing, credit management, financial services, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and management experience to guide teams in achieving business objectives and individual career aspirations.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills that are clear, persuasive, and positive across various settings.
  • Adaptable mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity in challenging situations.
  • Confidence and persistence in making critical business decisions under pressure to drive favorable lending outcomes.
  • Receptive to feedback and capable of fostering a positive work environment.
