Key Responsibilities:

The Operations Director will oversee, direct, and coordinate operations within the designated area, managing retail, sales, and facility activities in the field organization. This role is essential in ensuring the development and execution of effective operations by prioritizing personnel, providing transparent leadership, and taking ownership of the overall success of a ZIPS Region.

The Operations Director will be accountable for the complete Region's Profit and Loss (P&L). It is vital for this individual to actively assess real-time data, derive actionable insights, and communicate critical decisions that enhance business profitability. This role demands a proactive approach to executing strategies while anticipating and addressing typical business challenges.

A successful Operations Director will take responsibility for their decisions and the outcomes that follow. They must excel in clear and open communication, maintaining ongoing dialogues with their teams, cross-functional partners, and senior management.

Performance Metrics:

Success in this role will be evaluated based on four primary areas:

1) Growth in EBITDA through a combination of increased sales and effective expense management to surpass budget expectations;

2) Expansion of net membership through effective conversion and retention strategies;

3) Staffing and retention rates of employees across the Area, with a focus on District Managers, Store Managers, and Customer Service Associates;

4) Operational excellence, emphasizing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as wash downs and standards to provide a top-tier experience for both employees and customers.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

To efficiently fulfill the responsibilities of this position, candidates should possess the following:

  • A minimum of 7 years of multi-unit management experience in a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline; or extensive experience as a Sales or Operations Manager.
  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year in the car wash multi-unit sector.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional sales and customer service skills.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven mindset and a track record of translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • A comprehensive understanding of ZIPS services and those of immediate competitors in the surrounding area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including TEAMS or similar software.
