The Football Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the football coaching staff with their practice and game preparations, adhering to NCAA regulations. This position also encompasses responsibilities related to analysis, quality assurance, administrative tasks, and organizational duties.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Analyzes and synthesizes information by scouting opposing teams and breaking down the specifics of assigned units (offense, defense, special teams) for both in-season and off-season evaluations.
  • Develops, revises, and disseminates game plans for designated areas (offense, defense, special teams).
  • Collaborates with the offensive and defensive coaching staff to formulate strategies and game plans tailored to each opponent.
  • Assists the coaching staff with all practice-related duties, including managing practice scripts and creating play cards for the scout team.
  • Creates, revises, and distributes the playbook for assigned areas (offense, defense, special teams).
  • Compiles performance grades, rankings, and play counts for assigned units (offense, defense, special teams).
  • Coordinates with video personnel and graduate assistants for video cut-ups and game breakdowns.
  • Provides statistical analyses for offensive and/or defensive coaches.
  • Manages post-game video clips and prepares PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assists with recruiting efforts and prepares closing packets as assigned.
  • Complies with University and departmental policies and procedures while safeguarding University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Certification and Licensing:

Not Applicable.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:

  • Proficient in completing tasks accurately with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written formats.
  • Ability to manage challenging and high-pressure situations with professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships.
  • Capable of understanding and following instructions.
