Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the credit evaluation and administration processes within a specific market segment.
- Lead a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development and skill enhancement.
- Conduct thorough assessments of potential clients to ensure compatibility with the bank's offerings and risk appetite.
- Supervise the preparation of financial analyses, cash flow projections, and term sheets that inform decision-making regarding prospective clients.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements while maintaining high standards of credit risk assessment.
- Review and approve credit applications, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of risk and credit structure.
- Maintain a balanced approach to customer risk and pricing strategies.
- Monitor the overall health of the credit portfolio, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Implement and interpret the organization's risk management strategies effectively.
- Manage customer relationships, including monitoring reports and addressing any compliance issues that arise.
- Oversee the analysis of loan covenants and delinquencies, as well as the annual review of existing credit relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in credit management.
- Proven expertise in credit evaluation and administration.
- Strong ability to identify and mitigate financial risks.
- In-depth knowledge of credit structuring within a commercial banking context.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Effective planning and organizational capabilities.
Work Environment:
- Occasional domestic travel may be required.
- Primarily sedentary work with the need for occasional mobility.
