Position: Project Manager

Location: Various locations

Reports to: Vice President of Project Management

FLSA Status: Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are essential to the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

  • Provide leadership and management throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values.
  • Oversee all project phases from initiation to completion independently.
  • Manage risk mitigation strategies related to project performance.
  • Drive project outcomes to meet or exceed financial objectives including sales, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports to the VP of Project Management and executive leadership regarding project status and financial health.
  • Facilitate monthly Work in Progress (WIP) meetings and ensure completion of prior action items.
  • Prepare estimates, review billing and collections, and validate job costs prior to WIP meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure project deliverables are met on time.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and partners throughout the project.
  • Work with Project Estimators to define project scope and ensure proper documentation.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, including materials, subcontractors, and labor costs.
  • Maintain communication with project teams and spend time on job sites as necessary.
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues to management when required.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by conducting regular safety audits.
  • Lead training sessions and ensure team members are properly certified.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety programs.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

  • Direct and manage project personnel, coordinating with the VP of Operations on assignments and training.
  • Communicate effectively with management and support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Construction Management preferred.
  • At least five years of experience managing large commercial construction projects.
  • Certifications such as RCDD, PMP, or RTPM are advantageous.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and project management software.
  • Familiarity with financial management tools related to project accounting.
