The Role:

In the capacity of Director of Business Analytics, you will spearhead the Business Analytics team, tasked with delivering analytical insights and data-driven intelligence that empower the organization with timely and actionable information. This pivotal role is essential in utilizing data-driven insights to drive tangible business outcomes within a dynamic industry. Proficiency in data analysis coupled with robust leadership capabilities is vital to guide the organization towards its strategic objectives. This position operates within a hybrid model, with a blend of in-office and remote work.

Your Contributions to Vivid Seats' Success:

  • Analytics Strategy: Formulate and oversee strategies that promote data-driven decision-making across pricing, marketing, product, and ticketing platforms.
  • Data Strategy: Direct the provision of accessible, high-quality data throughout the organization, collaborating closely with Data Engineering and the broader Technology team.
  • Data Accessibility: Manage business intelligence tools (such as Looker and Tableau) to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and availability.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and maintain frameworks for monitoring daily and weekly performance trends, providing ongoing adjustments and recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments and business leaders to comprehend their data requirements, facilitating effective support and data-driven decision-making.
  • Innovation & Enhancement: Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies, proposing and implementing enhancements in data, reporting, and analytical tools and processes. Inspire the team to function as a leading analytics entity.
  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction for the Business Analytics team, establishing overarching goals and priorities while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Mentor and develop a team of analytics professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

Progression Expectations as Director of Business Analytics:

  • Initial 30 Days: Gain a comprehensive understanding of ticket marketplace operations and the analytical needs of various teams. Conduct an assessment of current processes and technologies.
  • Next 90 Days: Implement organizational and process improvements, set team objectives, and enhance team integration.
  • Following 180 Days: Assume strategic ownership of the analytics function, develop strong partnerships with stakeholders, and establish best practices within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience leading high-performing analytics teams, with a progressive background in analytics and hands-on data experience.
  • Strong business acumen and technical proficiency.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Looker, Tableau, SQL, Power BI, Python); familiarity with Google Analytics is advantageous.
  • Solid foundation in statistical analysis and analytical methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear and compelling insights.
  • Proficient in scoping tasks and projects to align the right resources and processes to achieve objectives.
  • Strong leadership abilities focused on mentorship and collaboration.
  • Ability to build relationships and establish trust with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
