Position Summary

The Senior Banking Representative plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing banking transactions, maintaining cash drawer accuracy, and facilitating referrals to Retail Banking. This position also supports the Teller Supervisor in adhering to policies and procedures, resolving customer issues, and achieving team sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Teller Duties:
    • Deliver personalized customer service, ensuring a welcoming experience through greetings, effective communication, and prompt resolutions.
    • Process deposits and withdrawals for checking and savings accounts while following established protocols for endorsements and identification verification.
    • Handle various payment types in accordance with bank policies, including loan payments and money orders.
    • Accurately count and balance cash, addressing any discrepancies within the required timeframe.
    • Utilize technology effectively to complete transactions with precision.
    • Engage in branch initiatives to meet sales referral targets and contribute to team goals.
    • Participate in mandatory training sessions covering sales techniques, customer service, compliance, and product knowledge.
    • Maintain flexibility to assist at different branches as needed.
  • Additional Senior Teller Responsibilities:
    • Exercise discretion in cash disbursement decisions.
    • Support management in ensuring compliance with regulations and bank policies.
    • Provide training and motivation to teller staff to enhance customer service and accuracy.
    • Assist the Teller Supervisor with operational tasks, including end-of-day balancing and audits.
    • Help maintain adequate cash levels for teller operations.
    • Participate in audits and security assessments as required.
    • Exemplify outstanding customer service and sales behaviors for colleagues to emulate.
    • Contribute to achieving branch sales referral goals through individual performance.
    • Assist in procuring necessary supplies for teller operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of relevant experience in banking, cash handling, or customer service.
  • Onsite presence is required for this role.

  • Commitment to promoting products and achieving sales referrals.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications.
  • Adherence to banking regulations and policies.

  • Reliability and dedication to completing tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience as a Teller.
  • Leadership experience is advantageous.
