Customer Engagement Specialist

The Customer Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our clientele, ensuring that all banking needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This position involves direct interaction with customers, assisting them with various banking transactions and inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and service objectives by actively participating in banking sales initiatives, fostering strong relationships with customers, and utilizing customer service tools effectively.
- Accurately manage the opening, closing, and maintenance of customer accounts in accordance with established protocols.
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of Old Second's products and services to guide customers through our diverse banking offerings, including more complex products like loans and retirement accounts.
- Uphold a high standard of customer service to contribute to the branch's overall customer satisfaction ratings.
- Provide support as a Teller when necessary, handling basic transactions such as deposits and withdrawals while adhering to compliance and operational procedures.
- Maintain an understanding of all relevant compliance regulations and complete required training on an annual basis.
- Ensure operational accuracy and compliance in all aspects of record-keeping and customer interactions.
- Exhibit flexibility in work hours, including the ability to open and close the branch as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience in banking, customer service, or sales.
- Willingness to obtain NMLS registration within the designated timeframe and fulfill training requirements.
- Onsite presence is required to perform the duties of this role.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in a teller or personal banker role is advantageous.
