Job Overview

Position Summary

The Lead Operations Strategist is a pivotal figure within the Verification Center, playing a crucial role in the leadership team. This position is responsible for managing all facets of operations, which include but are not limited to: order processing, workforce management, quality control, inventory precision, and procurement of materials. The Lead Operations Strategist will collaborate across various business units to formulate both short-term and long-term growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and uphold a safe and secure working environment, collaborating with the Environmental, Health, and Safety team as required.
  • Define team member roles to fulfill daily operational needs and achieve productivity goals.
  • Guide and cultivate a high-performing team.
  • Guarantee timely and accurate fulfillment and dispatch of all customer orders.
  • Oversee and mentor the operations team to enhance quality and efficiency in a rapidly growing environment.
  • Identify and spearhead initiatives for process enhancements.
  • Support, train, and develop team members for career advancement, performance enhancement, and recognition.
  • Manage the procurement of operational supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold standard operating procedures.
  • Provide regular reporting on key performance indicators on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through effective management and cycle counting practices.

Candidate Profile

  • Over 7 years of experience in supply chain management, operations, or a related discipline; at least 5 years in a leadership role is essential.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated management experience in a high-volume warehouse, manufacturing, production, or distribution setting.
  • Able to excel in a dynamic and uncertain environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven track record in:
    • Effectively delegating tasks and managing time.
    • Setting clear expectations and evaluating performance outcomes.
    • Implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Holding team members accountable for achieving objectives within set timelines.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts and talent development.
  • Project Management Skills – adept at following project timelines and achieving key milestones while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude are essential.
  • A sense of urgency in completing tasks within deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Work Environment

  • The Verification Center operates in a warehouse environment, typical of such settings. Closed-toed and closed-heel footwear is mandatory. Team members will be required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, turn, and pivot for a significant portion of their shifts.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds (or 23kg); occasionally, a team lift of up to 100 pounds (or 45kg) may be necessary, along with regular bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
  • This role may involve frequent ascending or descending of ladders, stairs, ramps, and similar structures, depending on the specific site location.
