The Financial Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations associated with various departmental functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate account reconciliation and maintenance for multiple departments within the Knowledge Enterprise.
  • Update and adjust various financial records, including journals and property logs.
  • Ensure accuracy of amounts and accounting codes on financial documents.
  • Balance financial entries and implement necessary corrections.
  • Conduct weekly verifications of P-Card transactions within the financial system.
  • Maintain comprehensive files for supporting documentation related to reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with cashiering to finalize deposits.
  • Assist in reviewing and processing reimbursement requests from staff.
  • Support payment processing for supplier invoices, either directly or against active purchase orders.
  • Compile routine numerical data for reporting purposes through internal systems.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose modifications to procedures.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and skills.

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend user needs and requirements.
  • Experience in customer service with a focus on quality.
  • Ability to follow supervisory directives effectively.
  • Background in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
