Job Overview:

The Annuity Operations Associate plays a vital role in assisting Financial Advisors, their support staff, and internal stakeholders in the processing of annuities through the Annuity Order Entry (AOE) platform. This position is integral to a specialized operations team that manages a substantial volume of annuity transactions, with approximately 1000 orders processed daily. The team is accountable for overseeing, auditing, and executing daily operations to ensure the efficiency of the Annuity order entry platform and its users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned operational tasks and provide training to colleagues to enhance departmental knowledge. Responsibilities include managing the AOE Tier 2 mailbox, handling Trade Busts, and generating oversight reports as directed by senior management.
  • Conduct outbound communications with Advisors regarding annuity transactions or necessary corrections, addressing inquiries related to annuity products or policies.
  • Oversee the review and processing of Letters of Indemnity from initial submission to disbursement and payouts, collaborating with Supervisory Principals, Management, Accounts Payable, and Client Compensation to ensure accurate billing and oversight.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of LPL processes and system platforms related to annuity transactions and operations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to team members as required and offer constructive feedback on process workflows to enhance efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage escalated issues reported by frontline teams, the AOE Tier 2 mailbox, team communications, or as assigned by management, ensuring proper escalation of complex issues.
  • Follow up on escalated requests to ensure resolution and provide training to the team as necessary.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and onboarding of new products and updates for the AOE platform in collaboration with carriers, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Deliver status updates on onboarding processes and issues, effectively communicating with all stakeholders involved.
  • Adapt to changing priorities during high-demand service levels.
  • Contribute to annuity projects and initiatives through collaboration with both internal and external partners.
  • Mitigate risks by completing required training, appropriately escalating issues, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist with inbound call volumes during peak periods or when necessary.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $21.63-$36.06 per hour. Actual base salary may vary based on factors such as relevant skills, prior experience, education, and performance.
