We cater to military, commercial, and regional airline clients, delivering a thorough maintenance solution for both legacy and contemporary APU engine models.
Position Overview:
This role will report directly to the Director of Finance/Controller and offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, performance bonuses, a 401K plan, and comprehensive health, dental, and life insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete financial operations for aerospace component manufacturing and repair facilities across one business entity or two plant sites.
- Manage daily billing in compliance with ASC 606, accounts receivable/payable processing, inventory oversight, cost management, and capital expenditure tracking.
- Collaborate with vendors and customers to facilitate collections and resolve any disputes.
- Supervise daily and monthly inventory activities and cycle counts.
- Handle fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure request tracking, and capitalization processes.
- Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial schedules.
Internal Controls and Procedures:
- Develop and adhere to procedures and internal controls concerning inventory, cost management, material movement, scrap reporting, and cost of sales.
- Review labor charging, reconcile reporting discrepancies, and assist in training initiatives.
- Support year-end external financial audits.
Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between plant functions and the Director of Finance/Controller to ensure timely handling of inquiries, opportunities, and performance-related issues.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility, including 2-3 years in accounting/financial operations within a manufacturing environment (preferably aerospace, though not mandatory).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- This position involves access to information and hardware subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which defines a US person as a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
- Experience in leading teams to achieve results and process improvements is desirable.
- Auditing experience and implementation experience are advantageous.
