POSITION OVERVIEW

The Adkins Group Inc is seeking a dynamic leader to guide the Product Marketing team within the Commercial Air Division. This role encompasses the oversight of sales strategies and profitability initiatives.

You will be entrusted with driving revenue growth and achieving the division's margin targets.

Your responsibilities will include the innovation of new and derivative products, management of legacy products, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

You will compile and deliver executive summaries regarding product lines for Monthly Operations Review meetings.

Collaboration with Operations and Engineering teams will be essential to meet strategic customer, market, and product line objectives aligned with the business unit's strategic vision.


Key Responsibilities Include:

- Leadership of the Product Marketing Team:
Evaluate team performance
Establish and track career development goals
Provide mentorship and guidance to enhance team capabilities

- Monthly Management of Key Performance Indicators:
Gross/Net Margin Analysis by Product
Gross/Net Order Rates
Revenue Tracking
Order Forecasting

- Market Analysis and Monitoring:
Assess market share, identify product or technology gaps, and understand key customer needs and emerging markets.

- Sales Training Initiatives

- Monthly Operational Reviews
Address challenges or successes regarding strategic goals
Prepare and present sales and margin performance metrics
Update Management on relevant issues, opportunities, market insights, and new product developments

- Strategic Planning and Financial Management
Contribute to the marketing and sales sections of the annual strategic plan for the Commercial Air Division
Evaluate progress against strategic objectives

- Development of Promotional Strategies
Creation and Update of Marketing Materials
Advertising Schedule for OEMs

- Distribution Marketing Plans

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A robust background in product marketing, ideally within a comparable industry (electronics, defense, or technology).
-Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience, including roles in product marketing or related fields. -At least five years of experience interacting with field sales or customers.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing marketing teams.
  • Ability to evaluate team performance, set objectives, and mentor team members for skill enhancement.
  • Strong grasp of financial metrics pertinent to product marketing, including gross/net margin analysis, revenue, and forecasting.
  • Experience in budget management and financial goal setting.
  • A history of successfully developing and launching new products.
  • Experience in maintaining and optimizing existing product lines while effectively managing costs.
  • Proficiency in market research and analysis, including identifying market gaps, customer needs, and competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate pricing strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience in providing sales training and developing training tools, particularly for online platforms.
  • Effective communication skills to convey product knowledge to the sales team.
  • Experience in contributing to the formulation of annual strategic plans.
  • Ability to assess progress against strategic objectives and make necessary adjustments.
  • Strong skills in creating and updating marketing literature.
  • Experience in developing and executing distribution marketing plans to effectively reach target markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as the role involves presenting executive summaries and updates to senior management.
  • While not essential, familiarity with technical aspects of electronics or commercial-grade connectors and cables may be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of commercial air standards and regulations related to electronic connectors and cables can be beneficial.
  • The ability to adapt to evolving market conditions and innovate in product marketing strategies is crucial.
