Job Overview

Position Summary

As a pivotal member of The Adkins Group, Inc., you will spearhead the Product Marketing team within the Commercial Air Division, taking charge of all facets related to sales and profitability. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue growth while achieving the division's margin targets.

Key Responsibilities

-- You will oversee the creation and enhancement of both new and existing products, ensuring effective cost management and high levels of customer satisfaction.

-- Your role includes preparing and delivering executive summaries regarding product lines for Monthly Operations Review meetings.

-- You will collaborate closely with Operations and Engineering teams to align strategic customer, market, and product objectives with the business unit's strategic vision.

Essential Duties

- Leadership of the Product Marketing Team:

Conduct performance evaluations

Establish and track career development goals

Provide mentorship and coaching to enhance team capabilities

- Monthly Performance Monitoring:

Analyze Gross/Net Margin by Product on Orders

Evaluate Gross/Net Order Rates

Review Gross/Net Revenue

Manage order pipelines and forecasts

- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

Identify market opportunities and set market share objectives

Assess competitive strengths and weaknesses

Formulate pricing strategies and cost reduction initiatives

Plan for new product launches

Establish Gross Margin targets

Develop promotional strategies

- Sales Training Initiatives

Create training resources for web-based applications

Train new sales personnel

Conduct product training sessions at sales meetings

- Monthly Operational Reviews

Discuss progress and challenges regarding strategic goals

Prepare and present sales and margin performance metrics

Update management on market insights and product developments

- Strategic Planning and Budget Management

Draft the marketing and sales components of the annual strategic plan for the Commercial Air Division

Evaluate progress against strategic objectives

- Marketing Literature and Promotional Planning

Develop and update marketing materials

Coordinate OEM advertising schedules

Candidate Profile

If you possess:

- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, engineering, or a related discipline.

- Extensive experience in product marketing, ideally within the electronics, defense, or technology sectors.

- A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience, including roles in product marketing or similar fields.

- Proven experience in managing and leading marketing teams.

- Strong analytical skills related to financial metrics, including gross/net margin analysis and revenue forecasting.

- A successful track record in launching new products and optimizing existing product lines.

- Proficiency in market research and competitive analysis.

- Effective communication skills for presenting to senior management.

- Familiarity with commercial air standards and regulations is a plus.

- The ability to adapt marketing strategies in response to evolving market conditions.
