POSITION OVERVIEW

The Adkins Group Inc is seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead the Product Marketing team within the Commercial Air Division. This pivotal role involves overseeing all facets of sales performance and profitability.

You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving the division's margin targets.

Your duties will encompass the development of innovative and derivative products, the management of legacy products, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

You will prepare and deliver executive summaries regarding product lines for Monthly Operations Review meetings.

Collaboration with Operations and Engineering teams will be essential to align customer, market, and product line objectives with the strategic plan of the business unit.


Key Responsibilities include:

- Leadership of the Product Marketing Team:
Evaluate team performance
Establish and track career objectives
Provide coaching and mentorship to enhance team capabilities

- Management of Key Performance Indicators:
Gross/Net Margin Analysis by Product
Gross/Net Order Rates
Gross/Net Revenue Tracking
Order Pipeline and Forecast Management

- Market Analysis and Monitoring:
Assess market share, identify product or technology gaps, and understand key customer needs and emerging markets.

Discuss progress and challenges related to strategic goals
Prepare and present monthly metrics on sales and margin objectives
Update management on key issues, opportunities, market insights, and new product developments

- Strategic Planning and Budgeting
Contribute to the marketing and sales sections of the annual strategic plan for the Commercial Air Division
Evaluate progress against strategic objectives

- Development of Promotional Plans
Creation and Updating of Marketing Literature
Advertising Schedule for OEMs

- Distribution Marketing Strategies

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A robust background in product marketing, ideally within the electronics, defense, or technology sectors.
-A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience, including roles in product marketing or similar functions. -At least five years of experience working directly with field sales or customers.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing marketing teams.
  • Ability to evaluate team performance, set objectives, and provide coaching for skill enhancement.
  • Strong grasp of financial metrics related to product marketing, including gross/net margin analysis and revenue forecasting.
  • Experience in budget management and financial goal setting.
  • A history of successfully developing and launching new products.
  • Expertise in maintaining and optimizing existing product lines while effectively managing costs.
  • Proficient in market research and analysis, including identifying market gaps and understanding customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to create pricing strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience in delivering field sales training and developing online training resources.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying product knowledge to sales teams.
  • Experience in contributing to the formulation of annual strategic plans.
  • Ability to assess progress against strategic objectives and adapt as necessary.
  • Skills in creating and updating marketing materials.
  • Experience in executing distribution marketing strategies to effectively reach target markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for presenting updates to senior management.
  • While not essential, familiarity with technical aspects of electronics or commercial-grade connectors and cables may be advantageous.
  • Understanding of commercial air standards and regulations related to electronic connectors and cables can be beneficial.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving market conditions and innovate product marketing strategies is critical.
