Position Title: Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

Role Overview: We are in search of an experienced Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to spearhead medium-scale initiatives, refine production methodologies, and enhance product designs for manufacturability. This position entails modifying current products, addressing design and production challenges, and overseeing capital investment projects within the range of $100K to $300K.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 engineers and technicians.
  • Spend substantial time on the production floor, ensuring hands-on involvement in operations.
  • Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles in areas such as rubber, fabrication, forming, coatings, castings, or machining.
  • Drive process engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and document production protocols, work instructions, quality assurance matrices, and bills of materials.
  • Utilize various machinery including lathes, mills, drill presses, press brake machines, and CNC equipment.
  • Incorporate automation solutions to enhance efficiency.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing direct reports.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities for cost and ROI assessments.
  • Ability to train team members and provide comprehensive documentation.

Job Type: This is a permanent position.

Work Environment: This role is fully on-site, requiring a hands-on approach with mandatory safety gear such as steel toe boots and safety glasses. The work attire is casual, suitable for an environment where one may encounter dirt and grease. The team consists of five members, and this position offers greater ownership and leadership opportunities compared to previous roles.
