Position Summary:

We are on the lookout for a Supplier Relations Specialist who will be pivotal in managing and enhancing our relationships with external service providers. This position is essential for ensuring that our vendors meet the required standards of service quality, timely delivery, and compliance with contractual agreements. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, assessing vendor performance, resolving issues, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain robust relationships with key suppliers.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, acting as an escalation resource.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with vendors to assess metrics, service levels, and compliance with contracts.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions in vendor agreements.
  • Ensure that contracts are equitable and advantageous for our organization.
  • Review and renew contracts as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (such as procurement, legal, and finance) to align vendor management strategies with organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors to facilitate product demonstrations for clients and sales teams.
  • Monitor pricing to ensure alignment with revenue and profitability targets.
  • Act as the escalation contact for Operations, Product, IT, and Sales Support regarding service providers involved in POS hardware, systems, fulfillment, payment gateways, and ACH transaction processing services.

Compensation:
The average base salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, with potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the payment transaction processing sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management, procurement, or a similar role.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Supplier Relations Specialist.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in vendor management, ideally within the payment processing or financial services sectors.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Adept at working independently and collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Proven capacity to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for vendor meetings and industry events.
