Key Responsibilities
Under general supervision, this role involves engaging with the public, internal stakeholders, and external clients to deliver information and services that align with customer expectations. Responsibilities may include resolving complex customer service issues and researching relevant policies, procedures, or regulations to effectively respond to inquiries.
- Assist clients with the intake process for services
- Verify and process insurance claims
- Collect payments for services rendered
- Support medical staff in client interactions
- Provide necessary information to clients
- Collaborate with team members on various tasks
High school diploma or GED and completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited institution; or one year of experience in a customer service environment; or one year of experience at the lower level Customer Service Representative 1 or equivalent position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service
- Familiarity with intake processes
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication skills
Employment Information
Current state employees are subject to personnel rules regarding salary. The Georgia Department of Public Health accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE). The selected candidate will undergo pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.
As an employee, you may be required to assist in emergency responsibilities as part of your employment terms.
