The Boston Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meetings & Events Supplier Management Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Global Meetings & Events team, you will be responsible for building and managing a global network of preferred suppliers to support BCG meetings & events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Develop and implement strategies for assigned supplier categories, ensuring compliance with BCG policies and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with meeting contracting, ensuring the protection of BCG's interests.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and administer contracts and terminations to optimize value for BCG.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal functions, including Procurement, Legal, and Insurance, to ensure alignment with corporate standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and advice to internal teams and customers on supplier best practices.
  • Category Management: Define supplier performance indicators, manage supplier performance for key suppliers, and collaborate with other category leads to continuously innovate and enhance supplier management strategies and processes.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a hospitality-related field, with experience as a paralegal or related legal position preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of negotiation best practices, ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience: Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and risk management, with a strong understanding of the meetings and events industry.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
