Position Overview:

The HR Operations Specialist will oversee a range of Human Resources and recruitment activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruiting and onboarding, conducting employee investigations, facilitating training sessions, and managing benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary contact for general HR inquiries at our facility.
  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and company guidelines, including an overview of the employee handbook, policies, employment documentation, and benefits enrollment.
  • Communicate and educate employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Address employee concerns and conduct investigations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director to implement disciplinary actions for policy violations.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, conducting phone screenings, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain and update recruiting platforms with candidate statuses and relevant notes.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes, assessments, and background checks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and confidential employee files.
  • Manage documentation related to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
  • Establish and maintain departmental records and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Assist in managing workers' compensation claims.
  • File reports with insurance providers and monitor progress on injury claims.
  • Maintain employee data, including addresses, earnings, absences, performance reports, and termination details.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other relevant information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successful completion of a Federal and State criminal history background check is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, social science, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources is required.

Physical Requirements:

This role may require reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Frequent sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, and reaching are necessary to complete physical tasks.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and lift objects regularly, up to 25 pounds, while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Regular communication is required, including talking and listening.
