Position Overview:

As a vital member of our retail team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and expert advice in the automotive parts sector. This position requires advanced knowledge of automotive systems and a commitment to helping customers resolve their DIY automotive challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and effective solutions for DIY automotive issues.
  • Facilitate a seamless selling experience for all customers, whether they are shopping in-store, online, or via phone.
  • Meet and exceed personal and store sales targets while maintaining high service standards.
  • Oversee DIY services, including testing and installation of automotive components.
  • Maintain store appearance and uphold customer service excellence.
  • Perform key holder duties, including task management and safety protocols.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inventory management processes, including stock organization and cycle counts.
  • Support professional services as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Proficient in advanced selling techniques and customer engagement.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Expertise in locating and stocking automotive parts.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and parts lookup tools.
  • Ability to utilize diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Skills:

  • Solid understanding of automotive systems, including engines, brakes, and electrical components.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to interpret safety and operational documents.
  • Basic math skills for inventory and sales calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work various shifts.

Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years in automotive parts sales or a related field is preferred, along with a proven track record in customer service and sales.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves significant walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Candidates should be prepared to work in various conditions, including exposure to weather elements during specific tasks.

Work Environment:

The work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks. Employees may encounter moderate noise levels and various mechanical and chemical hazards.
