Position Overview:

As a key member of our retail team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and automotive expertise. This position requires advanced knowledge of automotive systems and a passion for helping customers resolve their DIY automotive challenges.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and effective solutions for DIY automotive issues.
  • Facilitate a seamless sales experience for all customers, whether they are shopping in-store, online, or via phone.
  • Meet and exceed personal and store sales targets while maintaining high service standards.
  • Manage various DIY services, including testing and installation of automotive parts.
  • Uphold store appearance and customer service excellence.
  • Perform key holder duties, including task management and store opening/closing responsibilities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock organization and cycle counts.
  • Support professional services as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Strong selling skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Effective communication abilities to build rapport with customers and team members.
  • Proficient in locating and stocking automotive parts.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience with inventory systems and store equipment.
  • Expertise in using diagnostic tools and equipment for DIY services.
  • ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, including engines, brakes, and electronics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting safety and operational documents.
  • Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility to work various shifts.

Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive parts sales or a related field is preferred.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment:

The position primarily takes place indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks that may expose you to varying weather conditions.
