Job Overview
This Regional Sales Development Manager role focuses on redeeming annual sales plans in assigned markets at Company-approved pricing standards. You will develop key accounts or service accounts to drive growth and profitability.
Main Responsibilities
- Closes annual sales quota (determined based on experience level)
- Qualifies prospective opportunities, makes effective sales presentations, and addresses questions and objectives in a proficient manner
- Agressively manages quotes to close sales
- Promotes time management to maximize productivity by planning and scheduling appointments efficiently
- Surveys mechanical systems to understand prospects' needs and problems, determining repair, modification, and/or replacement requirements to provide solutions
- Provides design modification/repair/replacement recommendations and documents these for customers and the operations department
- Able to do conceptual estimating or budgeting of HVAC systems for all types of commercial/industrial buildings
- Prepares written proposals on all projects estimated
- Understands customer cost to own, operate, and maintain facilities and translates this understanding into proposals and sales that enhance facility value while reducing long-term costs
- Identifies prospects in assigned market, follows up on leads and referrals, establishes customer rapport, and maintains an active backlog of quotes to ensure contract goals are met
- Generates service leads through normal course of selling construction and coordinates with the Service Department
- Promptly addresses customer concerns to assure resolution of problems and maintain long-term positive relationships
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A competent understanding of mechanical systems and ability to identify problems and propose cost-effective solutions
- Strong sales presentation strategy, anticipating and addressing objections, and committing prospects to a decision-making timetable
- Understanding of credit policy and ability to feed back information and observations to minimize risk exposure
- Ability to build and maintain positive relations with field, office, and management personnel to resolve problems
- Effective communication skills to represent the company's interests to outside agents and maximize profits
Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
