This role is pivotal in reducing defects, enhancing product efficiency in practical applications, and delivering dependable software solutions that surpass client expectations.


Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic:

  • Formulate and implement quality assurance strategies that align with our overall engineering and business goals.
  • Define and monitor clear quality indicators for our software products to ensure ongoing enhancement.

Technical:

  • Create and carry out comprehensive test plans and protocols to detect software defects and their underlying causes.
  • Employ a combination of automated and manual testing methods to guarantee thorough product evaluation and quality assurance.

Collaborative:

  • Work closely with developers and product managers to fully grasp product specifications and requirements.
  • Provide prompt, actionable feedback on identified issues during testing phases to facilitate swift resolution.

Daily Duties:

Routine:

  • Perform regular system assessments and testing cycles, document findings, and maintain comprehensive records of testing phases and product challenges.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Project Focus:

  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, such as integrating new testing tools or approaches into our QA framework.
  • Ensure collaboration across departments to maintain quality from design through to launch.

Communication:

  • Regularly inform engineering stakeholders about testing progress, highlight potential risks, and suggest improvements.
  • Clearly communicate testing outcomes and insights to all relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and ongoing enhancement.

Qualifications and Skills:

Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle:
Thorough knowledge of the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), encompassing requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Agile Methodologies:

Familiarity with Agile development practices, such as Scrum or Kanban, and the capability to work in iterative development cycles.


Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in various testing frameworks and environments, including automated testing tools.

Strong Problem-Solving Skills:
Exhibits a strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues with innovative solutions, while managing tight deadlines.

Proactive Approach:
Takes initiative to foresee challenges, propose enhancements, and drive projects forward independently.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a software development environment.
  • Quality Assurance Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience in a SaaS, healthcare technology/IT, or healthcare B2B context is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
