Honu Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Information Security Analyst I.

The Information Security Analyst I will play a crucial role in delivering security risk management strategies focused on safeguarding advanced technologies. This position involves making access eligibility assessments in line with established security protocols and evaluating documentation necessary for classified information systems as per current regulations.

Additional responsibilities include conducting site evaluations and physical security assessments, interpreting existing security policies, and enforcing organizational security protocols and procedures.

Honu Inc. specializes in providing comprehensive solutions in procurement, logistics, engineering, installation, integration, testing, and operations and maintenance of enterprise-level IT and communications networks, while also offering specialized personnel for both short-term and long-term projects.


Key Responsibilities:
(The following duties are not listed in order of priority; other responsibilities may be assigned) and the candidate should be capable of performing the following with minimal supervision:

Responsibilities:
- Prepare essential reports and maintain records related to personnel security clearances.
- Implement security protocols to protect classified and sensitive unclassified information.
- Recommend appropriate security measures, control requirements, procedures, and facilities.
- Provide administrative support for safety operations and emergency management programs, ensuring timely resolution of safety and emergency management issues.
- Ensure compliance with all Operational Security, Information Assurance, and Foreign Disclosure programs.
- Manage the receipt and transmission of classified materials in accordance with all regulations.

Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Word, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Familiarity with various Navy and Marine Corps systems.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a security-related environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining the necessary security clearance for the role.

Education / Experience / Certifications:
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
- Successful completion of background investigations for access is required.
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

Experience:


Applicants should possess the experience, education, or training that illustrates their ability to follow directions, comprehend, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.

Applicants must demonstrate the capability or have endorsements indicating their ability to learn and execute the responsibilities of the position.

Knowledge of security classification methods, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information, and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses is essential, along with familiarity with commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in managing information, personnel, and physical security programs.

The analyst should be knowledgeable about conducting inspections and investigations, collecting and analyzing information, and evaluating the impact of variables such as personnel qualifications, building construction characteristics, access restrictions, equipment availability, and other factors that influence security-related decisions.


Physical Requirements:
Work may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

Must possess sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to fulfill daily responsibilities efficiently.

Due to parking availability and work location, moderate to long-distance walking may be necessary.

Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required.
