The Financial Analyst I is a key member of the Aza team, responsible for performing general accounting functions, including journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations, periodic reporting, research, and audit schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Analyzes financial transactions and reconciles general ledger accounts.
- Prepares accurate and timely journal entries in the financial system.
- Collaborates with internal business partners and finance team members to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Maintains sub-ledgers and associated supporting documents.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents, including bank statements, invoices, and contracts.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- At least two years' experience in an accounting role.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field or equivalent specialized training.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate-level Excel.
- Experience with automated accounting systems.
- Ability to work independently to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
