Role Overview: The DAME initiative represents a comprehensive Navy-wide enterprise system that delivers advanced software and hardware solutions tailored for cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, including 3D printers, CNC machines, and more. The Cyber Security Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the systems that support the Digital Thread of Advanced Manufacturing across the Naval Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the formulation of cybersecurity framework Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and training programs.
- Gain insights into processes associated with Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Craft and implement government-sanctioned security policies, plans, and procedures.
- Establish data network security protocols and adhere to software development security best practices.
- Acquire a solid understanding of U.S. Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) engineering and communication commands, focusing on NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific and Atlantic, NAVSEA, and DISA.
- Address STIG Configurations and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
- Document the Security Posture and outline Security Best Practices.
- Diagnose issues within systems and software/hardware throughout the Security Development Lifecycles.
- Collaborate with the Cyber team and Development Team on various technical and security-related tasks.
Compensation: The annual pay range for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen as per Government Contract requirements.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.
- Possession of one of the following certifications is required: CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, or HCISPP for IAT Level I of the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF).
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- A strong passion for Cyber Security and technology, with a willingness to learn and assist others.
- A desire to enhance technical proficiency across various domains.
Desired Skills:
- Support the management of system configurations to mitigate identified vulnerabilities and respond to cyber incidents.
- Demonstrable aptitude or experience with PostgreSQL or SQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, container technologies, STIGs, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
