Generous Paid Time Off and Holiday schedule Position Overview We are in search of a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced professional to take on the role of Financial Operations Manager. This is a unique opportunity for a finance expert eager to lead our financial management efforts, including accounting and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial management aspects, such as corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget preparation, and the establishment of internal control policies and procedures. This role is vital to our strategic planning and will significantly contribute to our ongoing growth and success. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Prepare and issue timely monthly financial statements.
  • Investigate technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Manage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax submissions.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and report on variances.
  • Analyze financial data and present reports accurately and promptly; effectively communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel to support the company's growth objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance role.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in creating financial statements.
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Proficient in accounting software and administration.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, analysis, and accounting.
  • Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity and complexity effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, confidence, and executive presence – ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
