Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Manager will oversee the financial and operational well-being of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be adept at conducting thorough audits of financial statements and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with senior leadership to set financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
2. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
3. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements by overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems.
4. Maintain robust internal control measures for cost and revenue management.
5. Work closely with the Procurement team and restaurant managers to reconcile invoices and purchase orders.
6. Develop and implement consistent accounting policies and procedures that adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
7. Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and streamline workflows.
8. Provide dynamic leadership to the accounting team, fostering an environment of trust and productivity.
9. Create and maintain financial controls, guidelines, and policies.
10. Conduct technical research to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
11. Support the Executive Committee with financial planning and analysis on various topics, including investment analysis and preparation of materials for stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of proven accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the restaurant or hospitality sector.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and reporting policies; familiarity with IFRS standards is a plus.
- Experience with public company filing requirements is preferred.
- CPA certification or candidacy is advantageous.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems, such as R365.
- Strong familiarity with restaurant POS and procurement software.
- Experience managing external audits conducted by large CPA firms.
- Knowledge of employment law and regulatory standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Proven experience in closing financial books and preparing consolidated financial statements, including P&L, cash flow summaries, and cash management.
- Strong background in inventory accounting, reserves, fixed assets, CAPEX, and OPEX management.
- Expertise in Cost of Goods Sold calculations and cost accounting processes.
- Ability to navigate GAAP and Non-GAAP financial metrics.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
