The Specialty Pharmacy Account Representative position is a key role within our organization, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with prescribers, office staff, and pharmaceutical manufacturer trade relationships in their designated territory. This role requires a strong understanding of the business environment, strategy, and needs of our clients to provide solutions by leveraging our services.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect, develop, and grow key prescriber and office staff relationships in the designated territory.
- Travel frequently to engage with regional accounts, industry organizations, and events to develop the territory.
- Maintain long-term and high-quality relationships with specialty pharmacy decision makers at prescriber offices within the territory.
- Engage with regional manufacturer and trade account representatives to educate them on our solutions and services.
- Communicate frequently and travel regularly to engage with local touch points within the region to maintain and grow territory activity.
- Troubleshoot provider matters concerning prescription referrals sent to our pharmacy in acting as a liaison between the provider and our organization.
- Engage internally and cross-functionally to provide market feedback and learn about our evolving portfolio of solutions and products.
- Consistently use commercial tools and dashboards for activity and growth activity tracking.
- Become a subject matter expert in our organization's teams and departments to communicate both internally and externally to drive value to clients.
- Minimum 4-year college graduate required.
- Minimum one to three years of healthcare selling experience. Experience in rare disease and/or specialty pharmacy or related services is preferred.
- Experience in the Hepatology and/or Endocrinology markets preferred.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems.
- Strong track record of building relationships or selling to healthcare professionals and/or healthcare office staff.
- Dynamic communication skills with an ability to take complex topics and distill to an appropriate audience.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the territory.
